How are our images delivered?

You will have a private online proofing gallery from which you can download your images and share them with everyone! You will also receive a flash drive containing all of your pictures. Those will be the processed and print-ready files, along with a personal use release so you can print your photos and use them on all your favorite social networks.

ENGAGEMENT SESSION QUESTIONS     

When can I expect to see my photos?

Within 2 weeks after the date of the shoot. If you require the images to be completed faster for invitations and save the dates, a rush fee will be charged.     

When should we do my engagement session?

The sooner the better. We want to make sure you have enough time to send your invitations out and be able to schedule your bridal and/or bridal boudoir session.     

Can I schedule my engagement session for the weekend?

Depending on the time of the year, most weddings occur on Saturdays and Sundays are reserved for family, so I typically do not shoot engagement sessions on weekends. That's something we can determine when you’re ready to book.

ALBUMS &PRINTS QUESTIONS      

How long does it take to get my prints?

Print orders will generally be completed within 3 weeks after the product order is submitted. Similar to the post production process, if you require rush processing, a fee of $100.00 will be charged.

 

How long does it take to get my album?

The album design takes 2 weeks from the time you’ve selected which images to include. Once the album has been ordered, it will arrive within 4-6 weeks. If you require rush processing, a fee of $100.00 will be charged.

PAYMENT AND TAX QUESTIONS      

How do I reserve you for my date?

All dates are reserved when I receive your signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the wedding.     

 

If I cancel the wedding, will I get my retainer back? Unfortunately, no. Retainers are used to reserve your date. Once I’ve reserved your date, I do not accept new clients for that date. If you cancel your wedding and another client subsequently books my services for that date, then I’ll be happy to refund 50% of your deposit.     

Do you offer payment plans? Yes! I’d hate for price to keep you from getting  amazing images!. The non refundable retainer is due upon booking. We can then discuss an affordable payment plan. The final payment is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding day.   

 

Are there travel fees associated with the engagement session and/or wedding day shoot(s)? Yes unless you’ve booked one of my destination wedding packages (which has all travel costs included). Travel fees outside of Portland is at the standard rate of $1/mile .

What happens if I go over the contracted amount of time?

I understand that not everything always goes as planned. While I never pack up before the contracted time nor would I leave on the dot when the contracted time is up, I do check in with you at the end of my contracted time to ask whether or not you would like me to stay longer. If that’s the case, I will charge the rates specified in my contract rounded to the closest 30-min increment.

Do you always have  a second shooter ?

Having a second shooter is an add-on option that you can choose when selecting your wedding collection.   

 

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations? Yes, I am very comfortable working in all types of lighting conditions. However, natural/ambient light is my preferred setting. This is something to keep in mind when creating your wedding day timeline.

 

IMAGE DOWNLOAD QUESTIONS AND LEGAL QUESTIONS     

Do you retain the copyright for the images? Yes, as your professional wedding photographer, I will retain copyright of all your wedding images. I will, however, provide a print release for you allowing unlimited personal use and printing of your photos.  However you may not sell your images for profit or publish them without my written consent.  

   

Can I edit my images?

The final images you will receive are an extension of my brand and style. For that reason, making any changes to them in any way (including but not limited to cropping, adjusting light/contrast, adding phone or other filters) as stated in our contract will not be allowed.   

 

What if I lose my images?

There is a $50 replacement charge for additional downloads after the event has been archived. I always recommend saving a copy of your images in at least three different drives.
